Roadworthy Certificates

Whether you are purchasing a second-hand vehicle or selling your own car, it’s really important to make sure that the vehicle is roadworthy to ensure on-road safety, and is also a general requirement in Victoria when a vehicle is sold or if a used-vehicle is going to be re-registered.

As licensed vehicle testers, we can perform all roadworthy inspections according to Vic Roads standards and guidelines, and provide you with a certificate once all testing has been passed. If we detect any issues during the inspection, we will itemize these and let you know what needs to be rectified in order for the vehicle to pass.

A roadworthy inspection covers key criteria, which includes:

  • Wheels & tyres

  • Steering & suspension

  • Braking systems

  • Seats & seat belts

  • Lights, signals and reflectors

  • Windscreen & windows – wipers and washers included

  • Overall vehicle structure

  • All other safety related items on the body, chassis or engine

As well as roadworthy inspections, we are also qualified to perform pre-purchase inspections on used vehicles. You can bring the car in to us and we will give it a thorough check, to make sure that it is in good condition and is a worthwhile purchase for you.
